Ben Dunkleberger of Lake Mills has been selected as the Week 4 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Dunkleberger put up ridiculous stats but saved his best for last on a game-winning drive to top Nekoosa. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 4. A total of 4,061 votes were cast, as Dunkleberger's 1,587 were enough to edge second place Charlie Schabo of Hortonville, who tallied 1,496.

It was quite the shootout between Nekoosa and Lake Mills on Friday, as both teams put up more than 500 yards of offense. Lake Mills quarterback Ben Dunkleberger completed 27 of 40 passes for 424 yards and 6 touchdowns in the game, as the L-Cats squeaked out a 55-51 win. He also added 81 yards for 2 more scores on the ground. Lake Mills was down 51-48 with 1:09 remaining in the game when the team took over at it's own 35-yard line. Dunkleberger led the L-Cats to the game-winning score, connecting with Hayden Iverson to send Lake Mills home victorious.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 5 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
