Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Kimberly solidified its spot at the top with a 35-14 win over rival Appleton North, which dropped the Lightning out of the poll this week. Verona's 10-7 win over Middleton allowed the Wildcats to make a big jump from #9 to #4 this week, while Middleton falls from 5th to 8th. Also losing was #4 Hudson against Menomonie, though the Raiders remain in the poll at #7. Sun Prairie becomes the third Big Eight team in the poll at #9.

Division 2

Menasha and Brookfield Central continue to be impressive, but Waunakee is once again a unanimous #1 team in the Division 2 Coaches Poll on WisSports.net. Menomonie makes a big jump after an impressive win over Hudson, going from 8th to 5th. Making similar jumps are unbeaten Green Bay Southwest and one-loss Whitefish Bay. Losses by Waukesha North and Brookfield East caused those teams to fall this week, though they remain in the poll at #8 and #10 respectively. Undefeated Wilmot makes its debut in the rankings at #9.

Division 3

Notre Dame and Catholic Memorial continue to be the clear top two teams in the division, with Notre Dame once again ahead. West De Pere moves up a spot following a loss by former #3 Mount Horeb/Barneveld (#7). Luxemburg-Casco's win over Little Chute helped the Spartans slide into the D3 poll for the first time this season.

Division 4

Osceola is a strong #1 pick in D4, but four teams suffered their first losses of the season last week: Little Chute (#3 to #5), Saint Croix Central (#5 to #8), West Salem (#7 to UR), and Kiel (#9 to UR). Wrightstown's win over Waupaca catapulted the Tigers into the #7 spot this week, while G-E-T returns to the poll at #10.

Division 5

With Amherst still a strong favorite in the D5 Coaches Poll, there was movement elsewhere in the rankings. Durand suffered its first loss to Grantsburg, dropping the Panthers from 3rd to 8th. Rib Lake/Prentice drops out following a loss, allowing undefeated Unity to move this week.

Division 6

Saint Mary's Springs continues to hold a lead over Darlington and Regis in the Division 6 Coaches Poll. The only loss by a ranked team last week saw Iola-Scandinavia go down to D5-ranked Southern Door in a non-conference game, dropping the Thunderbirds from 4th to 8th.

Division 7

Bangor maintains a sizable lead in the Division 7 Coaches Poll voting once again, with Pepin/Alma, Edgar, Abbotsford, and Loyal rounding out the top five. Almond-Bancroft had been 4th, but a 25-0 shutout loss to Wild Rose caused the Eagles to tumble to #10. Wild Rose, who is undefeated, moves into the poll at #8, with Shullsburg dropping out.

8-Man Football

It was a big week in 8-Man Football, as two-time defending unofficial state champion Prairie Farm lost for the first time since 2013, dropping out of the top spot. Taking over this week is undefeated Abundant Life, with Northwood/Solon Springs right behind. In third place is Siren, the team that knocked off Prairie Farm, who drops to 4th. Wisconsin Heights suffered its first loss of the year to Oakfield, falling to 8th this week, one spot behind Oakfield.
