Davis helped Chetek-Weyerhaeuser race out to a 40-21 lead at halftime, accounting for six first-half touchdowns. On the day he finished with 467 passing yards and 6 touchdowns through the air on 20 of 28 passing, adding a rushing score as well.
Jon Deprey, Luxemburg-Casco -- Playing quarterback, Deprey has put up big-time numbers running the football all year, and that continued Friday in the Spartans' dominating 41-0 victory against Wrightstown. Deprey ran the ball 19 times for 144 yards and 4 touchdowns, all of them coming before halftime. He also completed 6 of 7 passes for 64 yards.
Brayton Duin, Onalaska -- We were on state record alert Friday night, as word came through around 8 o'clock that Onalaska quarterback Brayton Duin had thrown for 404 yards and 5 touchdowns...at halftime. He would finish the game with 532 yards passing, good for fifth on the state's all-time list, completing 36 of 56 passes with 7 touchdowns, which is tied for second. Onalaska topped previously undefeated Sparta 46-19 in the game.
Ryan Johnson, Ashwaubenon -- It was a wild and crazy shootout between Ashwaubenon and previously undefeated Green Bay Southwest, as the teams combined for more than 1100 yards. After leading 42-36 at halftime, the Southwest lead stretched to 56-42 in the third quarter. That's when Johnson started to take over, accounting for three touchdowns the rest of the way as Ashwaubenon rallied for a 63-56 win. On the day, he completed 20 of 33 passes for 299 yards and 4 touchdowns, adding the game-winning 4-yard touchdown run as well.
Ben Olson, Wisconsin Rapids -- In a shocker, Wisconsin Rapids went up 28-0 on Stevens Point just before halftime Friday night, but SPASH rallied all the way back to force overtime before Rapids won 41-35. In the team's more open offense, Olson continued to flourish, completing 17 of 23 passes for 294 yards and 4 touchdowns.
