Dawson Davis of Chetek-Weyerhaeuser has been selected as the Week 6 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Davis had a big game as the Bulldogs handed Hayward its first loss of the year. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 3,507 votes were cast, as Davis' 1,214 were enough to edge second place Brayton Duin of Onalaska, who tallied 697.

The Bulldogs picked up a big Heart O'North win on Friday, handing Hayward its first loss, 46-28. Davis helped Chetek-Weyerhaeuser race out to a 40-21 lead at halftime, accounting for six first-half touchdowns. On the day he finished with 467 passing yards and 6 touchdowns through the air on 20 of 28 passing, adding a rushing score as well.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 7 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
