It has been a tough year for Blair-Taylor, but the Wildcats were able to pick up their first win of the year on Friday night, 40-12 over Augusta, behind a big game from quarterback Josh Nitek. He carried the ball 21 times for 374 yards and 4 touchdowns, averaging 17.8 yards per carry. He completed one of two passes for 24 yards and a score, and returned the second half kickoff for a 90-yard touchdown.

It was a third straight huge game for Onalaska's Brayton Duin, who threw for 477 yards and 4 touchdowns after posting more than 500 yards the previous two weeks. The senior signal-caller completed 34 of 62 passes (54.8%) but did throw 3 interceptions as well as the Hilltoppers pulled away from La Crosse Central 42-14.

A big second quarter helped Madison West top Janesville Craig 35-28 and clinch a playoff berth in the process. Senior receiver Terrell Carey hauled in just 4 passes in the game but they were all big plays, accounting for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns (80, 65). He added 9 carries for 76 yards and a touchdown on the ground as well.
