The WSN Team of the Week is back again for 2016. The voting this year is upgraded and is featured at the bottom of the article. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 p.m., so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint:  Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

Week 8 Team of the Week Nominees:

G-E-T -- G-E-T handed Arcadia its first conference loss since 2012 in convincing fashion, dominating in a 40-3 victory. The Hawks' ground game ground out the Raiders, as Ben Behan and Butch Haines each went for more than 100 yards and a pair of scores. The defense limited Arcadia to just 180 yards of offense in the contest.

Homestead -- Among the most incredible feats in Wisconsin high school history, Homestead's run of at least a share of 16 straight North Shore Conference titles has to be near the top of the list. Dave Keel's group clinched an outright championship this year with a 29-12 win over Whitefish Bay on Friday. The running game was excellent all night, putting up 360 yards and 4 scores while averaging 7.8 yards per carry. Bradley Woldt and Eric Zoeller combined for 337 of those yards.

Pulaski -- Pulaski did not throw the ball well Friday night, completing just one of five passes for 11 yards and an interception, but the running game more than made up the slack, with 58 rush attempts for 337 yards as the Raiders clinched a playoff spot in a 23-13 victory over Ashwaubenon. The defense was excellent as well, picking off three passes, two of which were returned for scores.

Sun Prairie -- The Cardinals dropped a four-overtime thriller to Middleton way back in Week 2, but stayed the course the rest of the way, giving themselves a shot at a Big Eight title at the end. It wasn't always pretty, but Sun Prairie did enough to get a 13-9 win over previously undefeated Verona, forcing a tie atop the league standings with one week left. The defense forced seven turnovers, while Draven Peeples toughed out 83 yards and a score on 24 carries.

Turtle Lake -- The Lakers bent but didn't break on defense, handing Pepin/Alma its first regular season loss since September 14th, 2012 (40-34 vs. Clayton). Erik Bauer carrie the ball 21 times for 210 yards and two touchdowns for Turtle Lake, including a game-sealing 68-yarder early in the fourth quarter. The win pulls Turtle Lake into a three-way tie for the Lakeland-South standings with Pepin/Alma and Elmwood/Plum City.
