As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

West Salem (7-1, 5-1; D4 #8) at Onalaska (7-1, 5-1; D3 #8) -- Friday, 7 pm

This isn't the de facto conference title game everyone expected when the season began, but these co-leaders of the Mississippi Valley have earned their opportunity. Sitting a game ahead of anyone else in the crowded league standings, the victor will earn an outright conference title and get a big boost when it comes time for playoff seedings. Onalaska's dynamic offense is averaging 477 yards per game, and been even better of late. Quarterback Brayton Duin is the only person in state history with three 500-yard passing performances in a season, and they've come in the last three contests, when he has 17 touchdown passes. West Salem's defense will be challenged, but it is a very good unit that has shutout playoff squads La Crosse Logan and Sparta the last two weeks. Can they hang with the aerial attack of Onalaska though?
