Week 9 Team of the Week Nominees:

Dominican -- The Knights clinched the program's first ever WIAA playoff appearance with a 31-25 victory over Martin Luther on Thursday night. Dominican jumped out to a 7-0 lead on a 50-yard touchdown run by Eric Dlugopolski early in the first quarter and never trailed in the game, though they had to hold off a late Martin Luther rally that featured a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns. Dlugopolski finished with 161 yards and 3 touchdowns on 7 carries, while Daniel Walton added 173 yards and a score on 20 carries.

Green Bay Preble -- As it turned out, Friday's game at Pulaski was a must-win affair for Preble, and win they did, 28-21. Henry Geil plunged in from a yard out with just less than two minutes remaining to break a 21-21 tie as the Hornets held on for the victory. It was one of four touchdowns on the day for Geil, all from seven yards or less. The win clinched a playoff spot for Preble for a sixth straight season.

Lake Mills -- An earlier loss to crosstown rival Lakeside Lutheran meant Lake Mills needed to beat defending D4 runner-up Lodi in the final game to make the playoffs. The L-Cats fell behind 21-7 in the first quarter, but quarterback Ben Dunkleberger threw a pair of second quarter touchdowns to even things up at halftime. The game was tied in the fourth quarter when Dunkleberger picked off a Lodi pass and raced 47 yards for the game-winning touchdown with just 38 seconds remaining, lifting Lake Mills to a 35-28 victory. Dunkleberger finished the day with 318 yards passing with 2 touchdowns, a team-best 60 rushing yards with a score, and the Pick-6.

Menomonee Falls -- The Indians pulled off a shocker Friday night, beating previously undefeated Brookfield Central 21-17 to clinch a playoff appearance. Falls trailed 17-14 entering the fourth quarter, but Arick Gleissner hooked up with Cameron Jemison on a 58-yard touchdown strike with 9:38 remaining, and the lead held up as the Indians scored the victory, despite just 242 yards of offense.

Platteville -- The Hillmen hammered Lancaster 35-6 on Friday to force a three-way tie for the SWC crown along with River Valley. Platteville had a running clock early in the fourth quarter when Ethan Bernhardt connected with Cameron Brant on a 6-yard touchdown. Bernhardt finished with 126 yards and a pair of scores on 11 of 13 passing, while Luke Fugate added 137 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns.
