Kyle Larson, Senior (Clayton, Wis.), Quarterback of UW-Stevens Point
Larson tied a career-high with five touchdown passes in a victory at UW-La Crosse on Oct. 29, his third five-touchdown game of the year. He completed 24-of-35 passing attempts and racked up 387 passing yards on the Eagles defense that entered the game as the league’s best passing defense. He is the first quarterback this season to pass for more than 200 yards against UW-La Crosse and his five TD passes were more than the Eagles had allowed through the air all season entering the game. Larson caught fire in the second half, completing all four passing attempts on a touchdown drive that gave the Pointers the lead for good in the third quarter. In the next offensive possession of the quarter, Larson connected with wide receiver Jerry Williams for an 82-yard touchdown, the longest completion of the season for the senior.
