Offense

Tom Kelly, Senior (Chicago, Ill./Guerin Prep), Quarterback of UW-Platteville
Kelly put up a huge performance in the Pioneers’ 56-0 victory over UW-Eau Claire on Nov. 5. He completed 22-of-30 pass attempts, which was good for 410 yards and five touchdowns. The 410 yards passing are the third-highest total in the conference this season.

Defense
Colin Buck, Senior (Greendale, Wis./Franklin), Defensive Back of UW-Whitewater
Buck registered three tackles, two interceptions and one forced fumble to help the No. 2-ranked Warhawks clinch at least a share of the WIAC championship with a 27-20 overtime victory over UW-River Falls at Perkins Stadium on Nov. 5. Late in the second quarter, Buck thwarted a drive with his first pick of the contest as the Falcons crossed into UW-Whitewater territory. In the third, he forced a fumble on a punt return deep in UW-River Falls territory that led to a Warhawk touchdown and brought the team to within three points. Early in the fourth quarter, Buck intercepted Sawyer Moon at the UW-Whitewater 11-yard line to take away another scoring chance for the Falcons.

Special Teams
Noel Gonzalez, Sophomore (Waukegan, Ill.), Wide Receiver of UW-Stout
After UW-Stout fell behind 24-14 early in the third quarter against UW-Stevens Point, Gonzalez put the Blue Devils right back into the game with a 96-yard kickoff return for a touchdown at 11:27 of the third quarter. The 96-yard return was the longest return for a UW-Stout player since Mike Bechtel returned a kick 98 yards for a score during the 1995 season. Gonzalez also had a second kickoff return, this one for 25 yards in the fourth quarter to finish with 121 return yards.
