The boys' high school basketball season gets underway this week with more than 50 games across the state on Tuesday and culminates Friday and Saturday with several tournaments and classics throughout the state.

The biggest event this weekend is the Fresh Coast Classic, which pits some of the schools from the Milwaukee City Conference against some of the top suburban teams in the Milwaukee area.

Top games include Milwaukee Riverside, which is ranked No. 1 among WIAA Division 1 schools in the preseason rankings of the Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook, against two-time WIAA Division 3 state champion Brown Deer at 8:15 p.m. on Friday, along with Milwaukee Vincent taking on Pewaukee at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

A pair of WIAA Division 2 powerhouse programs square off at 6:30 p.m. Friday with New Berlin Eisenhower taking on Milwaukee Washington. All games in the Fresh Coast Classic will be played on the UW-Milwaukee campus at the Klotsche Center.
