Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll

Division 1

Arrowhead is the top-ranked team in the first WisSports.net Coaches Poll of the season. The Warhawks defeated No. 7 Oak Creek in their first game of the season and posted an impressive win over Bay Port, 72-50, at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout on Saturday. Appleton North, Middleton, Milwaukee King, and Germantown round out the top five. 

Division 2

Beaver Dam is No. 1 in the Division 2 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The Golden Beavers are 3-0 so far this season; their most recent win came against Fond du Lac, 66-47. Second-ranked Hortonville opens FVA play tonight at Appleton West. No. 3 New Berlin Eisenhower was edged by D3 No. 1 Madison Edgewood, 49-46, at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout on Saturday. Pius XI Catholic checks in at No. 4 while fellow Woodland West program Pewaukee is No. 5 in the first coaches poll. 

Division 3

Madison Edgewood is the top-ranked team in Division 3; the Crusaders defeated D2 No. 3 New Berlin Eisenhower at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout after falling to D2 No. 10 Monroe earlier in the week. Wrightstown is 3-0 to start the season and are No. 2 in the WisSports.net Coaches Poll. Whitewater, Bloomer, and Martin Luther round out the top five in the Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. 

Division 4

Aquinas is the top-ranked team in the D4 Coaches Poll. The Blugolds have victories against Waunakee and Assumption to start the season. Lourdes Academy is No. 2, the defending D4 state champion Mineral Point is No. 3, while Wisconsin Heights and Kenosha St. Joseph are also in the top five. 

Division 5

Bangor is No. 1 in the first WisSports.net Coaches Poll of the season; the Cardinals most recent win came against G-E-T, 45-39, last Tuesday. Clayton is the second-ranked team and perennial power Barneveld is No. 3. Loyal is No. 4 despite falling to No. 5 Assumption on a buzzer-beater on Friday.
