Favorite Sport (and why): "Track is definitely my favorite sport. I love it because each race is individual and you need to count on yourself to do the best that you can do, but the outcome of each race reflects on you and your team. It's a sport where you can challenge yourself to push your body past its limits. I lose track of everything around me when I race, it's just me and the track."

Best Part of High School Sports: "The best part about high school sports is your teammates. I've been able to do sports with some of the same girls ever since I was little and it's an amazing experience being able to exceed in the sports that we have been working so hard at ever since we were young. I have also had the ability to create friendships with people that I probably never would've before, it's fun to play with the girls that you have since you were little, but it's even better to meet new teammates, learn to play with them, and expand your horizons."

Best Advice from a High School Coach: "I believe in you, you should believe in you, just go out there and be confident." -Coach Pickett

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: "Making the podium at state track my junior year. I looked out in the crowd and saw my family, friends, and coaches, and I just felt like all of my hard work paid off. Another memorable moment was playing basketball at the state tournament, it was a dream of mine to play in the state championship since I was a little girl."

Best Part of Playing Three Sports: "The best part about playing three sports is always having something to look forward to. I am always looking forward to seeing my teammates and coaches, practicing, and competing. By the time each season is done, I'm ready for the next one. High school is the time to compete in all of the things that you love, not very many people are fortunate enough to continue competing in multiple sports collegiately."

Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: "The toughest thing about playing three sports is that it can get a little overwhelming. Balancing homework, practice, and time for friends and family is tough, but it's all worth it."

Favorite Opponent: "I enjoy competing against Edgewood just because they're supposed to be good at everything and it always feels good to beat them."

Favorite Professional Team: "I enjoy watching the Packers on Sundays with my family and friends."

Favorite Professional Athlete: "Allyson Felix (mostly because we have the same first name, despite the spelling) and because she's incredible at track."

Favorite College Team: Iowa Hawkeyes

Cumulative GPA: 4.0

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: "The toughest individual I have competed against is probably Val Larson from DeForest. We raced at all of the big meets in the same events, and we always finished neck and neck. She runs for the University of Minnesota now, so hopefully we will compete collegiately too."

Most Admired High School Teammate: "Jordyn Weum (my sister) is my most admired high school teammate. Jordyn was also a three sport athlete and she showed me what is was like to balance a social life with academics and sports. In her junior year basketball season, she tore her ACL. I watched her go through the hardships that surgery brought, but I also watched her grow as an athlete despite injury. Jordyn really taught me to value the sports I participate in and compete with passion in everything that I do."

College Plans: "I am running track and field for the Iowa Hawkeyes, I will be studying Criminology and Biology."

Activities Outside of Sports: "Outside of sports I am very involved. I participate in the Stoughton High School Norwegian Dancers, we practice every morning before school. We also perform 3-5 times every month, and spend a week touring somewhere in the country during spring break. I am a captain for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes at my school. We host college athletes and hear their stories about how they compete with their faith, and we do the same. I sing in my school's concert choir. Last spring break I had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall. At my school I am also in the National Honor Society, and I tutor once a week. I am also a member of the school's student senate (council)."
