Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 16 through 22. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: January 16-22

Alec Fruin, Beloit Turner boys basketball: Fruin scored a career-high 46 points in the Trojans' 99-84 win over East Troy on Tuesday; he added 9 rebounds and 5 assists in the victory. On Friday, Alec scored 34 points and became the school's all-time leading scorer in their 82-68 win over Clinton. The senior is averaging 27.7 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game for Beloit Turner (12-3, 8-1 in Rock Valley-South). 

Abby Guidinger, Kettle Moraine girls basketball: Guidinger scored a team-high 13 points in the Lasers win over previously unbeaten and D1 No. 3 Mukwonago, 51-40, on Friday. In Kettle Moraine's 60-59 win over Oconomowoc on Tuesday, Abby finished with a game-high 18 points, including the game-winner. The Minnesota Cookston recruit is averaging 17.4 points per game for Kettle Moraine (8-6, 6-2 in Classic Eight). 

Owen Hamilton, Prescott boys basketball: Hamilton had a pair of 30-point efforts last week and went over 1,000 career points. Owen scored 38 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in a 73-62 win over Saint Croix Central; tallied 24 points and added 14 rebounds in a victory over New Richmond, 77-51; and finished with 37 points and 18 rebounds in a 72-70 loss to Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau. The Northern Illinois recruit is averaging 26.2 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 3.3 blocks per game for Prescott (13-2, 8-0 in Middle Border). 

Trinity Myer, Hayward girls basketball: Myer helped extend Hayward's winning streak to 11 games after a pair of big wins last week. The junior scored a game-high 15 points in their 59-39 win over Northwestern on Thursday to take over first place in the Heart O'North. On Friday, she tallied 19 points in the Hurricanes' 49-42 victory against Rice Lake. Myer is averaging 10.5 points per game for Hurricanes (13-4, 9-1). 

Anna Wilgren, Hudson girls hockey: Wilgren led Hudson to three wins last week; she scored 2 goals in a 3-1 win over Western Wisconsin Stars, netted 4 goals in their 5-1 victory against St. Croix Valley Fusion, and scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in the Raiders 6-0 win over Bay Area Ice Bears. Wilgren, a junior, ranks second in the state in goals (37) and second in points (51) for Hudson (12-5, 3-0 in Big Rivers).
