Gresham was looking to keep pace with Almond-Bancroft atop the CWC-10 Friday night in a tough road contest at Port Edwards. The Wildcats led by four points late, but Port Edwards rallied to take the lead with seven seconds remaining, giving Gresham one more opportunity.

As the seconds ticked away, Gresham hoisted an off-balance 18-footer, which didn't hit the rim. Derek Bowman was Johnny-on-the-spot however, grabbing the airball and, without coming down, putting it back up for the game-winning points as time expired in a 45-44 victory.
