Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of February 20 through 26. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: February 20-26

Jordan Anderson, Milwaukee North boys basketball: Anderson scored 45 points in the Blue Devils 117-99 victory against Young Coggs Prep on Thursday. He tallied 35 points in a 113-89 loss to Milwaukee Riverside on Monday and totaled 16 points in a 66-65 win over Milwaukee South on Friday. Anderson, a senior, is second in the state in scoring with 34.1 points per game for Milwaukee North (16-6) entering the postseason; the Blue Devils host Shorewood on Tuesday. 

Erik Christopherson, Melrose-Mindoro boys basketball: Christopherson scored a career-high 44 points in the Mustangs 82-42 victory against Blair-Taylor in the Dairyland Playoffs second place contest on Saturday. In a 76-74 loss to Cochrane-Fountain City last Monday, Christopherson finished with a game-high 36 points. The senior is averaging 22.2 points per game for Melrose-Mindoro (13-9) heading into the playoffs; the Mustangs host Boscobel on Tuesday. 

Bailey Eichner, Cudahy girls basketball: Eichner finished with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals, and a block in the Packers upset win against top-seed and No. 5 New Berlin West, 58-55 in 2OT, in a D2 regional final. In a 61-17 win over Whitnall on Friday, Bailey tallied 15 rebounds, 12 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. The William & Mary recruit is averaging 12.5 points, 10.1 rebounds, 7.3 assists, 3 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game for Cudahy (17-7); the Packers play New Berlin Eisenhower in a D2 sectional semi-final on Thursday at Greenfield. 

Mariah Platz, Sheboygan North girls basketball: Platz finished with a team-high 13 points, including scoring the go-ahead basket with 19.8 seconds left in the Golden Raiders (6-seed) upset victory against third-seeded and No. 5 ranked Arrowhead, 52-48, in a Division 1 regional final. Mariah tallied 7 points in a 50-46 overtime win against Waukesha West on Friday. Platz, a junior, is averaging 12.7 points per game for Sheboygan North (18-6) who plays FRCC conference foe De Pere in a Division 1 sectional semi-final at Ashwaubenon on Thursday.

Anja Smith, St. Mary's Springs girls basketball: Smith led the Ledgers to a 58-56 win over top-seed and No. 2 ranked Lourdes Academy to capture a Division 4 regional championship. Anja totaled 23 points and 8 rebounds in the win.  In the Ledgers 69-51 win against Ozaukee on Friday, Smith finished with 35 points and 12 rebounds. On Tuesday in the opening round of the tournament, she tallied 19 points and 10 rebounds in a win over Dodgeland, 62-27. The senior and Grand Valley State recruit is averaging 20.6 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for St. Mary's Springs (18-7) who play Howards Grove in a D4 sectional semi-final on Thursday at West Bend West.
