Hitting a buzzer-beating game-winner is a thrill. To do it in the playoffs? Even better. But to do it against a crosstown rival? Now that's something extra special.
As Racine Case had the ball out of bounds on the sideline of a boys basketball regional playoff game against rival Racine Park, the host Eagles found themselves down by two points. Just 2.5 seconds remained on the clock, and they were in need of a big play. Christian Webb received the in-bound pass near the baseline and immediately kicked it out to the top of the key, where senior guard Arman Enright-Congreras was waiting. He caught and went up quickly, with the horn sounding as the ball was in the air. When the shot swished through, Racine Case had scored a dramatic 66-65 victory to move in the postseason.
The fifth-seeded Eagles will travel to fourth-seeded Milwaukee Riverside Saturday night.
