Madison Edgewood's Estella Moschkau selected as the top senior Wing

Madison Edgewood's Estella Moschkau has been selected as the top senior Wing as part of the WSN Basketball Awards

Moschkau is a quick and athletic wing that affects the game in a variety of ways. She shoots very well from behind the arc and can get to the rim off the dribble. Defensively, she is an outstanding shot-blocker using great timing along with her vertical. 

The Stanford recruit is averaging 18.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 2.7 blocks per game with four double-doubles for coach Lora Staveness and the Crusaders. 

Moschkau, a 6-foot-2 wing, holds the school-record for points (1,500+) and blocks (345+). 

She scored career-high 36 points in a Division 3 regional final victory over Lakeside Lutheran. In the Crusaders sectional final win over Platteville, Estella finished with 31 points. 

Moschkau helped Madison Edgewood reach the state tournament for the first time in program history last season. She was a named WBCA All-State last season and took home First Team All-Badger South honors as a junior. 

Madison Edgewood faces Wrightstown in a Division 3 state semi-final at the Resch Center today at 3:15 pm. 

Finalists for the award were Moschkau, Bailey Eichner of Cudahy, Alex Luehring of Verona, Kenzie Schmitz of Germantown, Tayla Stuttley of Onalaska. 

Past winners of the award include Abby Gerrits of Pewaukee (2016), Arike Ogunbowale (2015), Maya Jonas of Whitefish Bay (2014), Samantha Terry of Baraboo (2013), and Brittney Fair of Nicolet (2012).
