Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of March 13 through 20. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: March 13-20

Terrance Banyard, Destiny boys basketball: Banyard helped the Eagles capture the Division 4 state championship in their first appearance at state, beating Darlington 76-55 in the title game. Terrance finished with a game-high 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals, and a block in the championship game. In Destiny's 71-54 win over Roncalli in a state semi-final, Banyard tallied 9 points and 7 rebounds. The senior averaged 15.9 points per game for coach Branden Joseph and the Eagles who finished the year with a 25-1 record. 

Joey Hauser, Stevens Point boys basketball: Hauser led the Panthers to their third consecutive Division 1 state title on Saturday, he finished with 33 points and 21 rebounds in a 85-56 win over Arrowhead in the championship game. In the Panthers 48-41 win over Madison Memorial in a state semi-final, Hauser tallied 11 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists. The junior averaged 23.6 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists per game for coach Scott Anderson and the Panthers who finished the year with a 24-4 record.  

Kobe King, La Crosse Central boys basketball: King was named Mr. Basketball by the WBCA on Saturday morning and led the Red Raiders to the Division 2 state title later in the day. Kobe finished with 28 points and 9 rebounds in a 55-53 win over Cedarburg in the title game. In the Red Raiders 78-56 win over Waunakee in a state semi-final, King scored 28 points and added 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. The Wisconsin recruit averaged 27 points per game for coach Todd Fergot and the Red Raiders who finished the year with a 26-2 record. 

Matthew Myers, Barneveld boys basketball: Myers helped the Golden Eagles capture their first state title in program history, defeating Shullsburg 58-28 in the Division 5 title game. Matthew finished with a game-high 20 points and added 3 assists, a steal, and a block in the championship game. In Barneveld's 72-52 win over Columbus Catholic in a state semi-final, Myers scored a game-high 17 points which included 5 three-pointers and also added 5 assists. The senior averaged 13.8 points, 4.2 assists, and 2.4 steals per game for coach and father Jim Myers and the Golden Eagles who finished the year with a 26-3 record. 

Hunter Plamann, Xavier boys basketball: Plamann led the Hawks to their first state title in program history, defeating Prescott 73-47 in the Division 3 championship game. Hunter finished with a game-high 29 points and added 8 rebounds, 7 assists, and 2 steals in the win. In Xavier's victory against previously unbeaten Ripon, Plamann tallied 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. The junior averaged 21.6 points, 6 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 3.4 steals per game for coach Matt Klarner and the Hawks who finished the year a perfect 28-0.
