Sometimes, it takes a bit of luck to complete a late comeback, then again, there's that old saying about, "Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity." For the Southern Door baseball team, that was the case on Friday.

It was a high-scoring affair with Mishicot in a non-conference showdown, but Southern Door found itself trailing 10-8 with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 7th inning.

Down to its final out, it appeared the end was coming for the Eagles, with a pop-up on the final at-bat. However, the Mishicot defender lost the ball in the sun, and it fell harmlessly to the ground.

Three runs would come around as Southern Door would claim an 11-10 victory.
