The Marshfield softball team jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on Eau Claire North in a non-conference contest Monday afternoon, but the visiting Huskies got a run in the fourth and two in the fifth to take a 3-2 advantage in the late portion of the game.

Marshfield was able to get the tying run home in the bottom of the seventh inning however, as North dropped an easy infield pop-up with two outs, forcing extra innings.

After Megan Donahue shut down North in the top half of the eighth inning, Marshfield had its chance to end things. Jordan Pretsch hit a sharp grounder to short, and Kaitlyn Konrardy broke for home. On a bang-bang play at the plate, Konrardy slid under the tag of the North catcher for the walk-off victory, as the Tigers moved to 5-0 on the season.
