The WSN Cup is an award that honors schools that provide and achieve success in many of the WIAA sponsored sports. The award totals points earned in both boys and girls sports. All WIAA sponsored sports are included as part of the scoring for the award.

It comes as no surprise to see Arrowhead on top of the Large Schools Division (enrollment over 1000 students), as the Warhawks have won the WSN Cup each of its first nine years of existence. Arrowhead's 700.33 points is not only the highest Large School total, it is the highest of any school regardless of size. The Warhawks posted the highest total of any school in the Fall Sports, and did the same in Winter Sports. The boys basketball team advanced to the Division 1 state title game, taking home a silver ball as runners-up. Gymnastics placed fourth at the state meet, while boys swimming and diving was sixth. The boys hockey team also qualified for the state tournament. Arrowhead has an outside chance to become the first school to eclipse 1,000 total points in a school year, though it'd take a huge spring sports performance. Middleton remains in second place with 597.5 points, while Sun Prairie, Brookfield Central, and Stevens Point round out the top five.

Catholic Memorial is once again on top of the Medium Schools Division (enrollment 500-100), as the Crusaders are chasing their first ever WSN Cup trophy after many years coming up just short. The school is just 30 points ahead of second-place Madison Edgewood, who has won the last three Medium School trophies. Catholic Memorial saw its lead dwindle after the fall sports, as the boys swimming and diving team (fifth place at state) was the only sport to score more than two points. Edgewood cut into the lead thanks to a girls basketball championship and a fourth place finish in boys swimming and diving. In addition to Edgewood, Whitefish Bay, Notre Dame, and Monona Grove round out the top five of the Medium Schools Division.

Darlington got a huge fall performance and stretched its lead in the Small Schools Division (enrollment below 500) with a strong winter sports season as well, with a total of 437.5 points. The Redbirds had the second-highest winter total amongst Small Schools, with a state runner-up finish in boys basketball, a Sectional Finals trip in girls hoops, and the wrestling co-op with Black Hawk finishing second at Team Sectionals. Darlington's 82.65 lead over second-place Aquinas is sizable, but certainly not insurmountable. Aquinas offers more spring sports than does Darlington and has scored some big spring totals in the past. Darlington is trying to become the first public school to win the Small Schools Division of the WSN Cup. The rest of the top five includes Bangor, Howards Grove, and Durand.

Here are the Top Five schools in each division:

Arrowhead - 700.33

Divisions - Starting in 2008-09 schools will be placed in three divisions. The Large School Division is for schools with enrollment over 1000. Medium Schools are classified as 500 to 1000 and Small School division is below 500. In 2007-08 schools with enrollments of 900 or more were in the large school division while schools with enrollments up to 900 were in the small schools division.

Points - Points are awarded for finishes in the state tournament of every team sport. Generally, the top 32 teams in each sport are awarded points. If less than 32 teams participate in a non-bracket sport state meet then those are the only schools that are awarded points. For Co-op teams the total points are divided equally amongst all schools in the co-op.
