Columbus junior Connor Manthey has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of April 17 through 23 after a vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 2,343 votes this week; Manthey received 718 of them, while De Pere's Olivia Fabry finished second with 646 votes.

Manthey, a Bradley recruit, hit a 2-run walkoff home run in the Cardinals 3-2 win over Lakeside Lutheran on Saturday. He went 2-for-4 in the game and also hit a double. Connor started the game on hill and tallied 6 strikeouts in four innings.

In the second game of doubleheader, Manthey finished 1-for-3 with a double in a 15-0 victory against Lakeside Lutheran.

Columbus is 9-0 and ranked No. 5 in the Division 2 WBCA State Baseball Rankings.
