Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of April 24 through 30. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: April 24-30

Owen Christenson, Madison West baseball: Christenson hit the game-winning walk off single to propel the Regents past top-ranked Janesville Craig, 6-5, on Tuesday. 

Brooke Jaworski, Wausau West girls track & field: Jaworski won the 200m dash (24.73) and 400m dash (55.39), finished second in the long jump (17-06.50) and ran a leg of the 4x400 relay that finished second at the Dan Benson Invite hosted by Wauwatosa West on Friday. 

Nicole Trussoni, Aquinas softball: Trussoni hit a home run and finished with 12 strikeouts in the circle to lead the Blugolds, D3 No. 6, past D5 No. 1 De Soto on Friday. 

Kody Weiland, Baraboo boys track & field: Weiland finished first in the long jump (22-11) at the Baraboo Relays on Friday, which is the state-best long jump this season; he also ran a leg of the winning 4x200m relay, and finished second in the 100m dash (11.32) and triple jump (44-02.00) at the event. 

Gracie Wendels, Assumption girls soccer: Wendels scored 3 goals and added 3 assists in the Royals 8-0 win over Wautoma on Friday. In a 4-4 tie against Mauston on Tuesday, Gracie scored 3 goals.
