Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of May 1 through 7. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: May 1-7

Paige Aho, Hurley softball: Aho hit 6 home runs and tallied 18 RBI last week. In a doubleheader against Rockford Guilford (IL) on Saturday, Paige went 6-for-7 with 4 home runs and 11 RBI, while also walking twice. Aho earned the win the circle in the first game, tallying 7 strikeouts without a walk. In a 10-6 loss to Chequamegaon, she hit 2 home runs and drove in 4 runs. On Friday, Aho went 1-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI in a 10-2 win over Northland Pines. She also got the win and finished with 9 strikeouts. 

Alyssa Ahumada, Mishicot softball: Ahumada helped the Indians to a 6-0 record last week; she earned 4 of the wins and tallied 29 strikeouts. At the Poynette Jamboree on Saturday, Ahumada finished with 9 strikeouts with no earned runs in a 6-1 win over Mineral Point; she also went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI, a walk and a run scored in the win. In the Indians 10-2 win over Wisconsin Dells, she went 1-for-2 with 2 walks and a run scored. 

Genevieve Cruz, Racine Horlick girls soccer: Cruz scored 5 goals in the Rebels 5-4 win over Waterford on Saturday. She also tallied 5 goals in a 10-0 victory against Catholic Central on Friday. 

Ben Dunkleberger, Lake Mills boys track & field: Dunkleberger finished first in the triple jump (45-10.75) at the Deerfield Classic on Friday. He also earned second place in the long jump (21-05.25), and third in the 100m dash (11.16) at the event. At the Poynette Triangular on Tuesday, Dunkelberger finished first in the 100m dash (11.14) and the long jump (21-05.00). 

Hunter Gustafson, Webster baseball: Gustafson went 3-for-4 with a home run and 8 RBI in the Tigers 19-9 win over Somerset on Saturday. He also walked twice and scored a pair of runs in the win. In a 7-0 win over Luck/Frederic on Thursday, Hunter went 2-for-4 with a home run and 4 RBI.
