Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of May 8 through 14. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: May 8-14

Morgyn DeLara, Delavan-Darien softball: DeLara went 4-for-4 with 3 home runs, a double, and 10 RBI in the Comets 15-1 win over Badger on Tuesday. Morgyn also helped Delavan-Darien to four other wins, she went 10-for-13 in those games with 6 RBI and 7 runs scored. 

Tyler Denu, Mount Horeb baseball: Denu tossed a perfect game with 13 strikeouts in a 4-0 win over Portage on Tuesday. 

Emily Herzberg, Melrose-Mindoro girls track & field: Herzberg finished first in the 200m dash (27.09), 400m dash (59.21), and long jump (16-00.25), while also anchoring the winning 4x400m relay (4:23.85) at the Dairyland Conference Meet. The Mustangs took second at the event. 

Caden Hofacker, Freedom boys track & field: Hofacker helped the Irish win the Marinette Invite on Tuesday. Caden finished first in the 100m dash (10.85), 200m dash (22.45), ran a leg of the wining 4x100m relay, and finished second in the long jump (20-09.50). 

Anika Washburn, Brookfield Academy girls soccer: Washburn scored 5 goals in a 5-4 win over Lake Country Lutheran co-op, ranked No. 2 in the D4 WSCA Coaches Poll. Anika also scored 4 goals in a 5-0 win over Oak Creek. Brookfield Academy entered last week ranked No. 4 in the Division 4 coaches poll.
