Brookfield Academy junior Anika Washburn has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of May 8 through 14 after a vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 3,947 votes this week; Washburn received 1,501 of them, while Mount Horeb's Tyler Denu finished second with 1,438 votes. 

Washburn scored 5 goals in a 5-4 win over Lake Country Lutheran co-op. She also scored 4 goals in a 5-0 win over Oak Creek. 

Washburn is third in the state in scoring with 84 points and third in the state in goals with 36. 

Brookfield Academy is ranked No. 2 in the WSCA Girls Soccer Rankings.
