Oconomowoc's Zach Clayton selected as top senior Infielder

Oconomowoc's Zach Clayton has been selected as the top senior Infielder/Catcher as part of the WSN Senior Baseball Awards.

Clayton is one of the best multi-sport athletes in the state, and won the Al Toon Award as the top senior receiver in the fall when he posted one of the best seasons of any receiver in state history..

He was outstanding once again on the diamond this spring as the Raccoons shared the Little Ten Conference title. Clayton was a Third Team All-State choice last year and in line to secure more postseason honors in 2017.

Finalists for the award were Clayton, Drew Behling of Waupun, Jack Blomgren of Janesville Craig, Walker Jenkins of Sun Prairie, and Zac Stange of Eau Claire North.

Past winners of the award include Prescott's Billy Brookshaw (2012), Bay Port's Drew Neuville (2013), Marshfield's Daulton Varsho (2014), Jefferson's Nick Schrader (2015), and Kenosha Indian Trail's Gavin Lux (2016).
