Boys WBCA All-Star Games: South takes three of five games

The 40th Annual Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Games were held in Wisconsin Dells on Saturday, June 17th at the JustAgame Fieldhouse.

Division 1: North 109, South 95

North led the South 33-19 after the first quarter and went on to win the Division 1 WBCA All-Star Game 109-95. Middleton's Tyree Eady scored a game-high 23 points, and added 10 rebounds and 4 steals in the victory for the North. Kimberly's Will Chevalier (20 points), Madison Memorial's Chris Knight (19), Oshkosh North's Phillip Flory (15), and Middleton Storm Murphy (12) all scored in double figures. Racine Case's Koreem Ozier finished with a team-high 22 points for the South. 

Division 2: North 107, South 96

The North all-star team outscored the South 27-12 in the fourth quarter to earn a 107-96 comeback victory in the D2 WBCA All-Star Game. Wisconsin recruit and Mr. Basketball winner Kobe King (La Crosse Central) finished with a game-high 29 points, and added 10 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals for the North. Five others reached double figures for the North, including Onalaska's Jalen Zubich (16 points) and Beaver Dam's Garrett Nelson (15). Whitnall's Kevion Taylor led the South with 26 points. 

Division 3: South 111, North 87

South led North 51-50 at the break before rolling to a 111-87 victory in the D3 all-star game. Madison Edgewood's Alex Arians finished with a game-high 25 points for the South. Beloit Turner's Alec Fruin totaled 20 points, while Ripon's Bennett Vander Plas (16 points), Marshall's Adam Wehking (16), and Ripon's Eddie Muench (10) also scored in double figures. Valders' Luke Goedeke led the North with 14 points. 

Division 4: South 83, North 73

South outscored the North 22-13 in the fourth quarter to earn the 83-73 victory in the D4 WBCA All-Star Game. Luther's Benjamin Kennedy tallied a game-high 19 points for the South. Also reaching double figures for the South were Ozaukee's Garrett Hoffmann (16 points) and Howards Grove's Bryce Pedrin (12). Shiocton's Nathan Schmidt led the North with 13 points. 

Division 5: South 102, South 96

The South squad earned a 102-96 victory against the North in the first game of the day on Saturday. Highland's John Ross Linscheid finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 steals to lead the South. Pecatonica's AJ Hendrickson also recorded a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds. McDonell Central's Grayson Knowlton led the North with 18 points.
