Brookfield Central junior Jenny Cape has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of June 12 through 18 after a vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 1,324 votes this week; Cape received 567 of them, while Athens' Seth Coker finished second with 319 votes. 

Cape scored 2 goals and added an assist to lead the Lancers to the Division 1 state championship. Brookfield Central defeated Bay Port, 3-0, in the state title game.

Jenny also found the net once in Brookfield Central's 4-0 win over Oconomowoc in a state semifinal.
