Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of August 28 through September 3. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: August 28-September 3

Jason Cano, Delavan-Darien boys soccer: Cano scored 6 goals and added 3 assists in three wins last week. He netted 4 goals and added an assist in the Comets' 8-1 win over Milwaukee Lutheran on Saturday. In a 5-1 victory against Sugar River on Tuesday, Cano scored a pair of goals. 

Lauren Spaulding, Sheboygan North girls volleyball: Spaulding helped the Golden Raiders capture the Germantown Invite on Saturday. Sheboygan North defeated Lakeside Lutheran 2-1 in the championship match; Spaulding finished with 10 kills, 6 digs and 2 aces in the contest. 

Spencer Standarski, Waukesha West boys soccer: Sandarski helped the Wolverines capture the Gusho Tournament title on Saturday. Spencer scored the lone goal of the championship match in Waukesha West's 1-0 victory over Oak Creek. He also netted two other goals in the tournament. 

Grant Tully, Burlington football: Tully led Burlington to a 47-29 victory against Union Grove on Friday; finishing with 5 touchdowns in the win. He ran the ball 17 times for 138 yards and 2 touchdowns, and passed for 114 yards and three scores. 

Rylie Vaughn, Newman Catholic girls volleyball: Vaughn led the Cardinals to the D.C. Everest Invitational title on Saturday; finishing with 74 kills, 49 digs, 11 blocks, 53 assists, and 13 aces. Newman Catholic defeated Merrill in the first place match.
