WisSports.net Week 6 Player of the Week Nominees:

Max Alba, Franklin -- After leading Kenosha Bradford 14-7 at halftime of a spotlight Thursday night game, Franklin found itself in a shootout the rest of the way, as the offenses erupted in the second half. Alba's big day throwing and running helped the Sabers escape with a 44-41 overtime victory that kept the team undefeated and tied with Racine Horlick atop the Southeast Conference. He finished with 306 yards and two touchdowns on 25 of 41 passing, adding 14 carries for a team-high 50 yards and one score on the ground.

Julius Davis, Menomonee Falls -- Sitting at 2-3 in conference play entering Friday night, Menomonee Falls desperately need a victory to avoid a situation where they'd need to win the final two conference games of the year just to qualify for the playoffs. With no score after one quarter, Davis erupted in the second, scoring four touchdowns to put Menomonee Falls up 27-7 at halftime before the Indians cruised home with a 34-14 victory. He rushed for three scores in the second quarter, adding a 77-yard kickoff return for a touchdown as well. For the game, Davis had 203 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 21 carries to go along with the return score.

Tate Kopulos, Catholic Memorial -- The passing game was struggling for Catholic Memorial against Kettle Moraine in a key Classic Eight battle Friday night, but the rushing attack found plenty of success. Held to just 36 passing yards, CMH was able to put up 367 rushing yards, with all but ten of them coming from junior Tate Kopulos. The 5-9, 185 pounder carried the rock 43 times for 357 yards and two touchdowns, with both scores coming in the fourth quarter as the Crusaders rallied for a 17-10 victory.

Brady Redwine, Elk Mound -- Elk Mound had 390 yards of offense in a 49-34 victory over Mondovi on Friday, and Redwine accounted for 340 of those yards. He carried the ball 39 times, scoring six touchdowns. Five of the six scores came in the second half, which started with Elk Mound trailing 13-7. The Mounders still trailed 28-21 entering the fourth quarter, before Redwine scored three touchdowns to put the team up for good.

D.J. Stewart, Kimberly -- The Papermakers have seen their share of tight ballgames during the current 62-game winning streak, but none were as low-scoring as Friday's 15-8 victory over Neenah. It turned out to be a come-from-behind win, as Neenah led 8-7 in the second quarter, and the score stuck until late into the fourth. Kimberly engineered a drive that culminated in a 10-yard scoring plunge from Stewart providing the game-winning points. Stewart finished with 248 yards and two scores on a workman-like 34 carries.
