Big Foot's postseason chances were very much in doubt on Friday night, as McFarland held a 22-16 halftime lead that extended into the fourth quarter. A Big Foot loss would drop the Chieftains to 1-5 in conference play and needing a lot of help to have any chance for the playoffs.

However, Big Foot tied the game up in the fourth quarter as star quarterback Jackson Enz found A.J. Courier for a nine yard touchdown pass that tied the game.

Unfortunately, Enz would leave the game due to injury a short time later. That's when Logan Eischeid stepped up as the game headed to overtime. Eischeid would complete 17 of 24 passes for 132 yards and what proved to be the game-winning score in the extra period as Big Foot won 28-22.

“Logan did an admirable job,” Big Foot coach Greg Enz told the Janesville Gazette. “You’ve got to go to the drawing board. We tried to throw the stuff that Jackson would normally throw, and they were blitzing. He might have been 0 for 5 or 6 on his first passes, and we decided we needed to go quick with everything.”
