Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

There was little change at the top of the Division 1 poll, with Kimberly retaining the #1 position, followed once again by Franklin, Sun Prairie, Bay Port, and Fond du Lac in the top five. Eau Claire Memorial's running-clock loss to Hudson dropped the Old Abes from seventh to ninth, while Green Bay Preble's second defeat of the season caused the Hornets to fall out completely, replaced by Neenah. #2 Franklin will face off in an undefeated showdown against #6 Racine Horlick on Friday.

Division 2

Division 2 continues to be incredibly deep, with Waunakee again leading the way. There were a couple teams that moved down slightly after losses to highly-ranked squads. Brookfield East fell to second-ranked Brookfield Central in the Battle for Brookfield, as the Spartans dropped two spots from fourth to sixth. Green Bay Southwest suffered its first loss of the year at the hands of D1 #4 Bay Port, as the Trojans fell from seventh to tenth. A huge game awaits this weekend as #7 Stoughton welcomes in #5 Monona Grove.

Division 3

Whitefish Bay is again the top-ranked team in Division 3, with Catholic Memorial and New Berlin Eisenhower receiving at least one #1 vote as well. West De Pere's first loss of the year to Menasha dropped the Phantoms three spots to #8. New Richmond replaces Rice Lake in this week's rankings.

Division 4

The huge #1 versus #2 matchup between Saint Croix Central and Osceola ended in a shutout, as Osceola's victory moved the Chieftains to the top of the Division 4 poll, dropping the Panthers of Saint Croix Central to fourth this week, behind Lodi and G-E-T. Wrightstown also suffered its first defeat of the season at the hands of Freedom, as the Tigers dip from #4 to #6.

Division 5

Nothing changed in the top five of the Division 5 Coaches Poll, with Amherst leading the way, followed by Stanley-Boyd, Clinton, Racine St. Catherine's, and Spencer/Columbus Catholic. Bloomer went down to Chetek-Weyerhaeuser, as the Blackhawks tumble from sixth to tenth this week. Lancaster makes a jump from a tie for tenth place to eighth after handing Prairie du Chien its first loss in dominating fashion, 62-27.

Division 6

Saint Mary's Springs and Grantsburg are once again a strong 1-2 duo at the top of the D6 poll, but defending champion Regis' second loss of the year caused the Ramblers to move from third to seventh. Newcomers to the rankings this week include Fennimore and Unity, who replace Marathon and Mineral Point.

Division 7

Edgar is a unanimous #1 team in the Division 7 rankings, as Bangor and Black Hawk are near unanimous picks at #2 and #3 respectively. #4 Wild Rose's one-point win over Pittsville didn't drop the Panthers too far, as they went from fifth to seventh. Ithaca replaces Potosi/Cassville in this week's poll.

8-Man Football

There continues to be a very clear pecking order at the top of 8-Man Football this year, where Luck, Oakfield, and Newman Catholic are again the top three in the rankings, and all undefeated. Things get a little messy after that, as Northwood/Solon Springs and Sevastopol are the only other teams with fewer than two losses. In fact, this week there are three, three-loss teams in the poll, including Gillett and Green Bay NEW Lutheran, who suffered defeats last week.
