The WSN Team of the Week is back again for 2017. The voting this year is upgraded and is featured at the bottom of the article. Voting is open until Thursday at 4 p.m., so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word (hint:  Social Media is a great way to do so). Users may vote once per day.

Week 8 Team of the Week Nominees:

Antigo - The Red Robins clinched the Great Northern Conference title on Friday, defeating Mosinee 21-14 thanks to a 39-yard Jericho Kelly touchdown run with just over five minutes remaining in the game. Kelly would finish with 102 rushing yards as Antigo moved to 5-0 in league play and 7-1 overall.

Beaver Dam - The Golden Beavers were playoff eligible, but its never good to leave your fate in other people's hands. Therefore, the team went out and clinched a postseason spot with a 38-6 victory over Sauk Prairie Friday night. Blaize Firari rushed for 122 yards, while Joel Riehbrandt had a pair of short scoring runs. Max Wiersma capped a strong defensive performance with a 63-yard Pick-6 in the final minute, as the team recorded three interceptions against the Eagles.

Kewaskum - The Indians shared the league title last year, but they're in a position to win the East Central Conference outright thanks to a 22-0 shutout of league co-leader Berlin last week. Tony Steger had a big game, rushing 30 times for 162 yards and 2 touchdowns, completing 6 of 10 passes for 66 yards as well. He also caught a ten-yard pass. Kewaskum can secure an outright league title next week against Waupun.

Marshfield - The Tigers were a state heavyweight for many years, with 18 consecutive playoff appearance from 1996 to 2013, including three titles and a pair of runner-up finishes. The team hadn't been back to the postseason since however, at least until this year. Thanks to a 36-0 dismantling of old rival D.C. Everest, the Tigers are now playoff-eligible and almost certain to make the postseason. Not only that, they're tied for the conference lead with Wisconsin Rapids heading into a Week 9 showdown against Wausau West.

Milwaukee Bay View - It was just two years ago that Bay View snapped what at the time was the state's longest active losing streak at 38 games. Fast forward to this year, and the Redcats are Milwaukee City-Richardson Conference champs after defeating perennial power Milwaukee Riverside 24-7 on Thursday. Isiah Wright had 147 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns for head coach Jeff Wallack.
