Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

Kimberly's streak keeps on keepin' on, but the team the Papermakers beat in last year's title game and who had held the #2 spot all season went down last week. Franklin suffered a 21-7 defeat at the hands of fellow unbeaten Racine Horlick, as the Sabers dipped to sixth this week. Horlick moves into the top five for the first time at #5. Back in this week's rankings are Appleton North (#9) and Hudson (#10).

Division 2

Division 2 continues to be perhaps the strongest division in the state, with five unbeaten teams at the top, as Monona Grove did sneak in front of Menomonie for the fourth spot this week. MG defeated Stoughton 63-35 in a shootout between previously undefeated teams, as Stoughton dropped from seventh to tenth. Waunakee remains on top.

Division 3

Whitefish Bay continues to be the strong favorite in the #1 position of Division 3, as the unbeaten Blue Dukes can end Homestead's run of 16 straight seasons with at least a share of the North Shore Conference title by winning against Hartford in Week 9. Notre Dame's second loss of the year at the hands of Green Bay Southwest dropped the Tritons from fourth to seventh. Rice Lake moved into a tie for tenth this week with New Richmond, which is perhaps fitting, as the teams were supposed to play a non-conference game earlier this year but it had to be canceled due to illness going through the New Richmond team.

Division 4

Osceola is the top-ranked team in Division 4 for a second straight week, with Lodi and G-E-T following as unbeaten squads. You have to go all the way down to #9 to find a loss last week, as Berlin's defeat at the hands of Kewaskum dropped the Indians out of the poll. Freedom jumps back in this week at #10.

Division 5

Amherst continues to hold a slight advantage over Stanley-Boyd in the Division 5 Coaches Poll, and there was no significant change in the rankings this week after every ranked team claimed victory last week.

Division 6

While Saint Mary's Springs continues to dominate the voting, with Grantsburg and Spring Valley right behind, the Division 6 field looks much different this year than last. Only three unbeaten teams remaining, and two, two-loss teams (Cuba City and Regis) are in the top five. Compare that to last year when there were seven unbeaten teams in the rankings at the end of the season, with an eighth that couldn't even crack the top ten. Howards Grove is new to this week's rankings at #10.

Division 7

There was little change in Division 7, where Edgar remains on top, with Bangor and Black Hawk close behind. The only loss in the division amongst ranked teams last week was #10 Ithaca going down to Wauzeka/Seneca, and it is Wauzeka/Seneca that takes the Bulldogs' spot in the top ten this week.

8-Man Football

There were no changes in the upper half of the 8-Man rankings, as the top five once again consists of top-ranked Luck followed by Oakfield, Newman Catholic, Northwood/Solon Springs, and Sevastopol. Spots six through nine all changed however, as there are now just five teams with one or fewer loss, and six with two or fewer losses.
