Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of October 9 through 15. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: October 9-15

Maggie Cartwright, Kimberly girls volleyball: Cartwright tallied 13 kills and 13 digs to lead the Papermakers past Nennah, D1 No. 2, in straight sets to win their first Fox Valley Association title since 2014. Cartwright, a junior, leads the team with 253 kills and 268 digs heading into the postseason. Kimberly finishes the regular season undefeated in FVA play and 23-10 overall. 

Dylan Hendricks, Pulaski football: Hendricks scored 5 touchdowns in Puaski's 52-13 win over Manitowoc Lincoln, the Red Raiders secured a spot in the WIAA Playoffs with the victory. Hendricks finished with 279 yards rushing on 20 carries in the game; the touchdown runs were from 60, 65, 12, 37, and 30 yards. He is currently 11th in the state in rushing with 1,633 yards. Pulaski finishes the regular season with a 5-4 record; they travel to Appleton West for a WIAA Level 1 matchup on Friday. 

Andrew Johnson, New Richmond boys soccer: Johnson scored 7 goals in two matches last week. He finished with 3 goals and 2 assists in a 6-2 win over Baldwin-Woodville, and netted 4 goals in the Tigers' victory against Cumberland, 8-1. Johnson has 39 goals and 13 assists on the season for the 14-6-1 Tigers. They host Tomah in the opening round of the WIAA Playoffs on Thursday. 

Quintin Olson, Holmen boys soccer: Olson's second-half goal lifted Holmen to it's first Mississippi Valley Conference championship in program history; the Vikings beat Sparta 1-0.  Holmen finished the season 11-0-3 in the MVC and is 14-2-4 entering the WIAA Playoffs. They face Menomonie at home on Thursday in the opening round of the playoffs. 

Jena Saalsaa, Argyle girls volleyball: Saalsaa helped the Orioles capture their third consecutive Six Rivers-East title, sweeping Barneveld last Tuesday. Jena finished with 13 kills, 4 blocks, 4 digs, and 3 service aces in the victory. On Thursday, Saalsaa tallied 10 kills and 5 digs in Argyle's 3-0 win over Juda. For the season, she has a team-high 299 kills to go along with 165 digs, 52 service aces, and 35 blocks. Arygle, 17-8 overall, hosts Monticello in a Division 4 WIAA regional on Tuesday.
