Zayne Rodencal has been selected as the Week 9 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the Foxes gain momentum heading into the postseason. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 9. A total of 3,383 votes were cast, as Rodencal's 1,767 were enough to edge second place Canon Melstrand of West Bend West, who tallied 655 votes.

Fox Valley Lutheran's Zayne Rodencal scored an amazing eight rushing touchdowns on Friday in a 62-36 victory over Marinette. He would finished with 32 carries for 457 yards, as his yardage total is third in state single-game history. He also added a catch for 10 yards and a pair of tackles. Superior's John Hancock set the state single-game rushing touchdown mark with nine way back in the 1919 season.
