Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of October 16 through 22. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: October 16-22

Emma Lawrence, Benton girls volleyball: Lawrence led the Zephyrs to a sweep against Six Rivers-West foe River Ridge in a Division 4 regional final on Saturday. Emma finished with a match-high 23 kills and 25 digs in the victory. In a 3-1 win over Potosi on Tuesday, Lawrence tallied 22 kills and 15 digs. Benton will play top-seed Seneca in a Division 4 sectional semi-final on Thursday.  

Lexy Peterson, Cochrane-Fountain City girls volleyball: Peterson tallied a team-high 22 kills and added 18 digs in the Pirates' to a Division 3 regional final win over 2-seed Aquinas in five sets on Saturday. In CFC's win over Melrose-Mindoro, 3-2, in a regional semi-final, Peterson led the Pirates with 24 kills and 14 digs. The third-seeded Pirates moves on to play top-seed Regis in a sectional semi-final on Thursday. 

Jenna Rombalski, D.C. Everest girls volleyball: Rombalski finished with 18 kills, 12 digs, two blocks, and two aces in the Evergreens' sweep of third-seed Eau Claire Memorial in a Division 1 regional final on Saturday. In a sweep against New Richmond in a regional semi-final, Rombalski tallied a team-high 9 kills, and added seven digs and two blocks. Sixth-seeded D.C. Everest faces two-seed Eau Claire North in a sectional semi-final on Thursday. 

Jack Schumacher, Lake Country Lutheran boys soccer: Schumacher finished with four goals in Lake Country Lutheran's 6-0 win against Oostburg in a Division 4 regional final on Saturday. He also netted a pair of goals in the Lightning's 8-0 victory against Dominican in a regional semi-final. Fourth-seeded Lake Country Lutheran faces top-seed University School in a sectional semi-final on Thursday. 

Derek Waleffe, Middleton boys soccer: Waleffe scored all five of the Cardinals goal in their 5-0 win against Verona in a Division 1 regional final on Saturday. In Middleton's 11-1 win over Badger in a regional semi-final, Waleffe tallied six goals. Fifth-seeded Middleton will face nine-seed Beloit Memorial in a sectional semi-final on Thursday.
