Rice Lake's Averie Habas hauls in a leaping touchdown

New Berlin Eisenhower's defense was dominant all season, and the Lions never trailed prior to the state title game. However, Rice Lake's option-heavy flexbone attack was too much for the Lions to to contain, as Rice Lake dominated every facet in a 25-3 Division 3 championship victory.

Rice Lake out-gained Eisenhower 396-144, converting 11-of-14 third downs compared to 0-for-4 by Eisenhower. The Rice Lake rushing attack churned out 325 yards on 68 carries, as the time of possession was significantly slanted in the Warriors' favor, 36:18 to 11:42.

The Warriors got on the board on the opening drive of the game, finishing off a 14-play, 80-yard drive with a six-yard Billy Brown touchdown run. Rice Lake would add another score with just 18 seconds left, but a long pass play plus a personal foul penalty allowed Eisenhower to get a 33-yard field goal with two seconds left in the half to make it 12-3 at the break.

The second half was similar to the first, with Rice Lake dominating the yardage and time of possession to close things out.

Brandon Sutton led the way with 107 yards on the ground, while Peyton Buckley chipped in 93 and Billy Brown ran for 79 yards and a pair of scores.
