Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of November 13 through 19. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: November 13-19

Javian Dayne, Waunakee football: Dayne helped the Warriors overcome a 13-0 fourth quarter deficit to defeat Brookfield Central, 14-13, and win the Division 2 state title. Dayne rushed for a pair of fourth quarter scores in the win; finishing the day with 29 carries for 107 yards. 

Marcus Glodowski, Amherst football: Glodowski led the Falcons to a 28-21 victory over Lake Country Lutheran to win their third straight Division 5 state title, and fourth championship in the last six years. Glodowski finished with a new Division 5 state finals record 269 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 32 carries. He added 49 yards passing, 30 yards in kickoff returns, a 50-yard punt, and the game-sealing interception. Glodowski was chosen as the State Finals MVP by WSN. 

Carter Horstman, Bangor football: Horstman helped Bangor capture the Division 7 state championship, its second D7 state title in three years, beating Black Hawk, 37-14. Horstman finished with 144 yards and three touchdowns on just 11 carries. On defense, he tallied a team-high 17 tackles for the Cardinals. 

D.J. Stewart, Kimberly football: Stewart, the 2017 WFCA Offensive Player of the Year, led the Papermakers to a 27-7 win over Sun Prairie in the Division 1 state championship game, and fifth straight state championship. Stewart carried the ball 34 times for 189 yards and two touchdowns in the win. 

Mitch Waechter, Saint Mary's Springs football: Waechter led the Ledgers to the Division 6 state title, giving them a record-tying seven WIAA state championships. The Springs quarterback hit the trifecta, rushing for a touchdown, throwing two touchdowns, and catching a touchdown in the D6 title game. He finished with 268 yards of total offense and added an excellent day on defense with 7 tackles (including .5 for loss) and a fumble recovery.
