We begin our WSN15 series with the Top 15 Moments of the WSN Era.

TOP 15 MOMENTS: #12 - WAUNAKEE'S FOURTH-QUARTER COMEBACK STUNS BROOKFIELD CENTRAL IN TITANIC D2 CLASH

It was one of the most anticipated Division 2 state championship games in some time, as two unbeaten, heavyweight programs squared off. The 2017 title game between Brookfield Central and Waunakee didn't have a lot of drama in the first three quarters however, as Brookfield Central controlled things, leading 13-0 despite a missed extra point and two missed field goals.

Momentum swung quickly and decisively to open the fourth however, as junior Reed Ryan forced a Brookfield Central fumble by Julian Banda, which was scooped up by Jeremy Werner, giving Waunakee the ball at the Brookfield Central 14 yard-line.

Suddenly emboldened with momentum and confidence, Waunakee scored three plays later, as "Dayne for a touchdown" echoed through Camp Randall Stadium for the first time since 1999 on a Javian Dayne three-yard plunge.

Brookfield Central failed to gain a first down on its next drive, and Waunakee would march 58 yards in 11 plays, with a one-yard Javian Dayne run and ensuing Reese Marek extra point giving the Warriors a 14-13 lead.

Brookfield Central had two more possessions to try to get back on top, but gained a total of just 11 yards and saw Waunakee kneel out the clock in the final seconds.
