Week 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll 

Division 1

Appleton North is the top-ranked team in the Division 1 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. The Lightning opened the season last week with wins over Oshkosh West and Kimberly. Second-ranked Milwaukee King has won its first six games this season, including winning the Nike Central Valley Showdown last weekend in California. The Generals host No. 3 Oak Creek tonight. Sun Prairie moved up one spot to No. 6 this week after defeating Madison East last week. Kimberly joins the top 10 this week, and Madison East drops out. 

Division 2

Beaver Dam fell to Maine West (IL), 60-51, on Saturday to end its 31-game winning streak, but remain No. 1 in the coaches poll this week. Seymour moves up to No. 2 this week, the Thunder earned a 72-52 win over West De Pere on Friday after trailing by 10 points at the half. Monroe dropped one spot to No. 3 after falling to Morton (IL) on Saturday, 58-57. The Cheesemakers host No. 7 Stoughton on Saturday. Eighth-ranked Notre Dame travels to undefeated Bay Port tonight. Slinger has won four consecutive games after dropping its season opener against Kettle Moraine Lutheran (D3 No. 8) and check in at No. 10 this week. 

Division 3

Platteville takes over the No. 1 ranking in the Division 3 WisSports.net Coaches Poll. Wrightstown moves up two spots to No. 2, and Laconia jumps four spots to No. 3 this week after an impressive win over Amherst, who dropped three spots to No. 6 after the loss. Fourth-ranked Dominican has a big non-conference test on Thursday when they travel to D1 No. 4 Mukwonago. Hayward drops six spots to No. 7 after falling to D4 No. 1 Aquinas, which was the Hurricanes' second setback of the season. Kettle Moraine Lutheran joins the rankings this week at No. 8, the Chargers have posted wins over D1 No. 10 Germantown and D2 No. 10 Slinger this season. 

Division 4

Top-ranked and undefeated Aquinas has contests against West Salem and Tomah this week.  No. 2 Melrose-Mindoro travels to D5 No. 3 Bangor tonight in a non-conference game. Third-ranked Durand is on the road tonight against Dunn-St. Croix foe Elk Mound. Shiocton, ranked No. 5, hosts D3 No. 6 Amherst tonight. Saint Mary's Springs moves up two spots to No. 8 this week, the Ledgers travel to D5 No. 5 Lourdes Academy tonight. Cuba City drops five spots to No. 9 this week after getting routed by D5 No. 1 Black Hawk on Saturday. 

Division 5

Top-ranked and undefeated Black Hawk is coming off a 34-point win over Cuba City, the Warriors lone game this week is against Monticello on Thursday. Flambeau jumps to No. 2 this week, the Falcons host Birchwood and travel to Phillips this week. McDonell Central moves up three spots to No. 4 this week after posting a 45-35 win over Clayton on Saturday. Clayton drops to No. 7 this week. Ninth-ranked Prentice hosts unbeaten Rib Lake tonight in a Marawood-North contest.
