Each week WSN will take a look at the happenings in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference, which includes many of the two-year campuses in the UW system. A look back at the big performances and news from the week before, a look ahead to some of the big games coming up, plus a Player of the Week will be featured.

Looking Back

There was just one WCC women's basketball game held over break, as Fond du Lac defeated Baraboo 57-34, though stats were provided.

At the midway point, Marathon continues to dominate the league, sitting at 6-0 overall and 5-0 in WCC play. The Huskies have scored more than 100 points in each of their last four games.

Waukesha and Fond du Lac have also been excellent, posting records of 8-1 and 8-2 respectively.

Looking Ahead

There has been some challenges for women's basketball teams in the WCC, as several were not able to fill teams this year. Before the break, Fox Valley forfeited three of its last four games, Marshfield forfeited its last two, and now, Fox Valley Tech has already forfeited an upcoming game.

Action does get underway this week once again, and Saturday boasts two of the best teams in the state. Marathon topped Waukesha 91-77 back in November, proving to be Waukesha's only loss of the year. Morgan Rachu had 45 and Jayci Blume had 25 in the victory for the Huskies, while Hannah Bricco poured in 33 for Waukesha.

WCC Women's Basketball Player of the Week: N/A

Since there were no games with stats information in the last week, there is no Player of the Week.
