Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of January 15 through 21. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: January 15-21

Drake Baldwin, Madison West boys hockey: Baldwin scored 9 goals and added 2 assists in a pair of wins last week for the Regents. On Friday, he scored 6 goals in a 7-2 win over Oregon. He followed that up with 3 goals and 2 assists in a victory against Madison Memorial, 6-0. Baldwin, a junior, is leading the state with 33 goals and is second in points with 52. Madison West is 12-4-2 overall and 7-2 in the Big Eight. He is committed to play baseball at Missouri State University. 

Peter Brookshaw, Prescott boys basketball: Brookshaw scored a career-best 48 points in Saturday's 78-74 victory against G-E-T. On Tuesday, he tallied 29 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal in the Cardinals' 81-62 win over Amery. Peter also finished with 26 points in Friday's win over Baldwin-Woodville, 62-31. Brookshaw, a 6-0 senior, is averaging 29.5 points, 8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game for D3 No. 10 Prescott, 12-1 overall and 7-0 in the Middle Border. He has over 1,200 career points and is committed to play baseball at North Dakota State. 

Patrick Cartier, Brookfield East boys basketball: Cartier scored 18 points in Brookfield East's 56-44 win over Oshkosh West at the Luke Homan Showcase hosted by Brookfield Central. The Spartans rallied from 20 points down at the break to remain undefeated. Cartier scored 21 points in a 52-45 win over Sussex Hamilton on Friday and netted 7 points in a victory against Pius XI Catholic, 45-38, on Tuesday. The 6-7 senior and Hillsdale recruit is averaging a team-high 19.8 points per game for top-ranked and undefeated Brookfield East, 13-0 overall and 8-0 in the Greater Metro. 

Alina Hampton, Kimberly girls basketball: Hampton scored a game-high 29 points to lead the Papermakers, ranked No. 8 in the Division 1 WSN Coaches Poll, to a 62-53 win over D1 No. 4 Oak Creek on Saturday. She shot 9 of 14 from the floor, 8 of 13 on free throws and connected on 3 of 4 three-pointers. Hampton also scored 19 points in a win over Oshkosh West, 67-35, and tallied 7 points in a victory against Kaukauna, 45-33, last week. The 5-8 senior is averaging 13.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3 assists per game for Kimberly, 13-2 overall and 9-2 in the FVA. 

Lexi Wagner, G-E-T girls basketball: Wagner scored a school-record 51 points in Saturday's 75-52 win over Prescott. She went 7 of 10 from behind the arc and 14 of 14 on free throws. The 51 points are tied for 10th on the girls' basketball all-time single game scoring list in the state. She also scored 15 points in a win over Luther, 66-42, and netted 16 points in a victory against Blair-Taylor, 53-15, last week. Wagner, a 5-9 guard, is averaging 22.8 points per game for the Red Hawks, 13-2 overall and 7-0 in the Coulee.
