Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of March 12 through 18. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: March 12-18

Peter Brookshaw, Prescott boys basketball: Brookshaw hit the game-winning three-pointer as time expired to lift Prescott to its first state title in program history, defeating Valders 63-62 in the title game. He finished with 35 points on 10 of 19 shooting in the championship game, while scoring 34 points on 10 of 20 shooting in the semifinal victory over East Troy. The senior and North Dakota State baseball recruit finished the season averaging 30.3 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists per game for the Cardinals who went 26-2. 

Tyrese Haliburton, Oshkosh North boys basketball: Haliburton helped lead Oshkosh North to its first state title in program history. The Iowa State recruit finished with 30 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks in the Spartans' 61-44 win over Brookfield East in the championship game. In addition he made all 18 of his foul shots to become the first player in the 103-year history of the WIAA State Tournament to make that many foul shots without a miss in a single game. Haliburton tallied 12 points and 7 assists in Oshkosh North's 57-56 win over Sussex Hamilton in a semifinal. The senior averaged 22.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists, 3.5 steals and 1.7 blocks per game for the Spartans who finished the year with a 27-1 record. 

Chombi Lambert, Roncalli boys basketball: Lambert led Roncalli to its first state title in program history. He scored 32 points in the semifinal victory over Pardeeville and added 21 points in the Division 4 title-game win over Marathon. Lambert, a junior, averaged 20.4 points, 3.4 assists and 1.7 steals per game for the Jets who finished the season with a 23-5 record. 

Grant Manke, Bangor boys basketball: Manke helped lead Bangor to its first-ever state title in boys' basketball. He recorded a double-double in wins over Green Bay NEW Lutheran in a state semifinal and McDonell Central in the title game. Manke scored 18 points and collected 12 rebounds against NEW Lutheran before adding 19 points and 13 rebounds in the title-game win over McDonell Central. For the season, Manke, a sophomore, averaged 13.5 points and 10.2 rebounds per game for the Cardinals who finished the season with a 27-1 record. 

Jordan McCabe, Kaukauna boys basketball: McCabe led Kaukauna to its second title in three years by scoring the game-winning basket with 2.3 second left to lift them to a 76-74 win over Milwaukee Washington in the title game. He finished with 32 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds in the victory. In the Galloping Ghosts' 75-63 win over Westosha Central in a semifinal, McCabe tallied 20 points, 11 assists and 5 rebounds. The West Virginia recruit and Mr. Basketball award-winner finished the year averaging 26.7 points per game for Kaukauna who went 25-3.
