OK, big playoff week. Need some other opinions on who to start. (For WR/RB, 0.5 per reception, 10 yards= 1 point, 6 for TDs)

Need someone to start at flex and here are my options: Arian Foster (@ STL) , Calvin Johnson (vs. ARI), Derrick Mason (vs. CHI), or Justin Forsett (vs. TB)? Or do I roll the dice with Josh Cribbs (@ KC)?

And for defense, Denver (vs. Oakland) or Houston (@ St. Louis)?

k i got peyton and i dont know if hes going to play the whole game/s. and im in the playoffs and i really really could use this $500 dollers. my options are peyton manning kurt warner josh freeman jason campbell. need to start to.. well one cause ill roll with warner but do i risk starting manning?

Yes, Peyton will play. The Colts have said they're going to treat tonight as they would any other regular season game. Even if Peyton is taken out in the 4th quarter of a blowout, he'll have played long enough to probably double any numbers you'd get from Freeman or Campbell. Start Manning and Warner.

Do you mean Reggie Brown? Those aren't very good options at WR. I'd go with Wayne and Britt at WR and Clark at TE. The Colts starters will play tonight, though Wayne's production hasn't been great lately anyway. MSW is still suffering from that calf injury that has limited him in practice in recent weeks, and his production has been awful since he sustained the injury.

I go with MSW and Britt. It has been stated a few times that with homefield wrapped up that Indy will play it safe with their stars. My guess is that they are going to give those young receivers more work. I like Britt for the fact that with Young back he has excelled.

I still go with Clark because he is their only true tight end.

That's tough. . . .I'm leaning towards Jackson and Mason. SD D has been solid and Crabtree is garbage and matchup wise White is in trouble. BAL might end up running the ball later in the game but you'll see Mason getting some action early on.

I've heard good things about PPR leagues actually hoops, thanks for the insight. Now RB's dont' mean a thing in standard leagues though, at all. I draft a WR right away now every year, WR are where all the points are. My draft is usually now WR/RB/RB or WR/ QB. . . .with some flexibility, if a #1 QB is available in the 2nd rd I'll snatch him up. I don't rely on RB's at all now though.

I've been in a league with the same group of guys for about 10 years now. About 5 years ago we had a big debate about adding point-per-reception. One of that stat geeks in the group ran some numbers and it ultimately sold us all on using PPR. Here's how it went, although I'm approximating the numbers because I don't remember them exactly:

Without PPR we ranked the top 20 players in the league. The breakdown by position was something like 12 RB's, 6 QB's and 2 WR's.

With PPR the top 20 turned out like this: 7 RB's , 7 QB's and 6 WR's.

Ultimately we had to decide what made the league fun. For us, one of the things that made it fun was the flexibility to build your team any way you wanted (or any way that was available based who you had.) That meant if you wanted to go heavy with RB's and usually have a more consistent weekly total, you could. Or if you wanted to go heavy on WR's and probably have some more ups and downs you could do that too.

In order to allow teams to build any way they wanted, we reasoned that each of the three primary positions needed to have similar potential to score points week in and week out. Going PPR, made that happen. Without it, it'd be a draft day luck-of-the-draw to see who could grab the best running back, and the other positions just wouldn't matter as much.

We made the switch, and it's been the best scoring system I've ever played in since.

With a few injuries and replacements I have decided to start the following:
Henne QB
Gore RB
Grant RB
Wayne WR
Louis Murphy WR**
Winslow TE
Rackers K
Pitt Def (great..)

Bench: Ryan QB, Sims-Walker (inj), Nedney K, Gradkowskit QB, Berrian WR

Keep the starters or replace any? So close to win, but always knocked out in the playoffs

I think a 2 points swing would make it kind of fun. Maybe make it more than .1 so you could have a larger swing. Really, I just think it's another good way to measure the QB's performance.
