-It appears Muskego's Kyle Costigan wasn't the only state prospect on the receiving end of an exciting phone call from the University of South Dakota's coaching staff this evening as Kimberly defensive back
Colten Heagle (6-0, 181) has informed WisFootball.net that he too garnered a scholarship offer from the Coyotes.
“I receive a phone call from Coach (Todd) Strop from South Dakota,” Heagle explained via e-mail. “He said that they are offering me a full ride scholarship.”
The offer from South Dakota joins one previously extended by North Dakota State. In addition, strong interest has come from Western Michigan, Northern Illinois, Illinois State, North Dakota, South Dakota State, Eastern Illinois and Southern Illinois.
Heagle was an
Appleton Post-Crescent second-team all-area and first-team all-conference selection as a junior.
-Talk about a busy night for state prospects, college coaches and me. Now Milwaukee Marquette defensive back
Michael Trotter (6-0, 200) has received his second scholarship offer to date courtesy of Division I-FBS Western Michigan University.

“I got offered from Western Michigan tonight,” Trotter said.
“Coach (Jake) Moreland called Marcus (Trotter's twin brother) and was talking to him for a while then Marcus just handed me the phone and Coach Moreland told me they wanted to offer me and that I was their first safety they offered,” Trotter explained. “I was not expecting it at all and couldn't believe it. I was like running around the house. I'm really happy about it and I'm excited about the future.”
Oddly enough, Marcus Trotter didn't receive an offer from the Broncos. At least not yet anyways.
The Trotter twins had both previously received a scholarship offer from Northern Iowa as well as recruiting interest from a long list of schools including: Wisconsin, Purdue, Michigan State, Iowa, Akron, Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan, Vanderbilt, Duke, Maryland, UCLA, Arkansas, Colorado, Southern Illinois, South Dakota State, North Dakota and North Dakota State.
Named honorable-mention all-conference as a sophomore, Trotter received
Milwaukee Journal Sentinel honorable-mention all-area and first-team all-conference honors following his junior season.
