Marshall will try to make it back-to-back Division 3 state title on Saturday after beating Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau 58-37 in a state semifinal.
The Cardinals led G-E-T by five points at the break before outscoring the Red Hawks 30-14 in the second half and cruising to the victory.
Marshall took its first lead at 5-3 after a basket by senior Ceraya Morel and led the rest of the way. The Cardinals largest lead was 23 with 1:25 left in the game.
Morel finished with a career-high 17 points to lead the way for the Cardinals.
Sophomore Mia Morel and senior Bailey Neuberger each tallied 11 points. Sophomore Anna Lutz totaled 10 points, 6 steals and 2 blocks.
Senior Lexi Wagner, a Youngstown State recruit, finished with 18 points to lead G-E-T.
Marshall will play undefeated Laconia in the Division 3 state championship game on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
Laconia used a strong second half to defeat Freedom, 67-53, and advance to the Division 3 state championship game against Marshall, the defending Division 3 state champs.
The Spartans led 25-23 at the half and outscored the Irish 42-30 in the second half to earn the victory.
Freedom trailed by just one with 10:02 left, but Laconia finished the game on a 27-14 run.
Senior Kiarra Otto finished with a game-high 28 point, to go along with 5 rebounds, 3 blocks and 3 steals.
Senior Macie Grade and sophomore Haley Rens each tallied 11 points, and senior Alissa Dins, a Western Illinois recruit, finished with 9 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
The undefeated Spartans play defending Division 3 champion Marshall in the D3 state title game on Saturday.
Attendance for the Thursday afternoon Division 3 session was 4,774.
