Black Hawk finished the job this season and captured the Division 5 state title to finish the year a perfect 28-0.

The Warriors outscored Clayton 30-15 in the second half to earn the 51-36 victory.

Black Hawk had some shooting woes in the first half, going just 1 of 11 from behind the arc, which brought back memories of last year's state title game when they shot 3-for-31 from behind the arc.

The Warriors shot returned quickly in the second half, starting the half 4 of 6 from deep which helped them build a 44-31 lead with 7:58 left.

Black Hawk would not let Clayton get any closer than 12 points the rest of the way.

The Warriors were led by junior Natalie Leuzinger and sophomore Bailey Butler, a Division I prospect, who scored 23 and 19 points, respectively.

Black Hawk completes a perfect 28-0 season and wins its first gold ball in program history. The Warriors had four previous trips to the state tournament and took home two silver balls.

Clayton finishes the year with a 27-1 record and takes home the silver ball in its fourth consecutive trip to the state tournament.
